Prices, trade, growth and slumps: the economy as the news reports it.
The vocabulary of the economy as the news reports it. Pairs do much of the work: 수출 and 수입품 (exports, imported goods), 수요 and 공급 (demand, supply), 호황 and 불황 (boom, slump). One word to watch: 경기 is a match at a stadium, but in the news it is the state of business — which is why a downturn is 경기 침체.
