Government, elections, law, rights, inequality and the traditions that hold a community together.

Public life has its own register, and the news uses it every day: लोकतंत्र, संविधान, संसद, भ्रष्टाचार. Beside them stand older words from Arabic and Persian that are just as common: क़ानून, अदालत, सज़ा, हक़, फ़र्ज़. The sentences describe how things are organised and take no side.
