More body and health

Joints, organs, injuries and the words a doctor and a patient need.

Symptoms in Hindi mostly come to you: मुझे चक्कर आ रहा है, “I feel dizzy”, उसे उल्टी आने लगी, “she started to vomit”, मुझे मोच आ गई, “I sprained something”. A test is something you have done: जाँच करवाना. Several everyday words come straight from English — ऑपरेशन, एलर्जी, ब्लड प्रेशर — and are what people actually say.
