Aperture, exposure and focus — the settings, and the words for what a picture is doing wrong.

German keeps two words apart that English runs together as "focus": die Schärfe is how sharp the picture is, and die Tiefenschärfe is how much of it is sharp at once. Note also that der Auslöser is the shutter release and the same word means the trigger of an event, which is exactly how it is used outside photography.
