El prospecto is the folded sheet inside a medicine box, and the English word that looks like it is not the one. A « prospectus » in English is what a company hands investors or a school hands parents; nobody has ever called the paper in a pill box a prospectus. English says « the leaflet », or, on the professional side, « the package insert ». Both words come from Latin for looking ahead, and Spanish kept the general sense of a printed sheet that tells you what to expect, while English narrowed its copy to money and enrolment.
