Compulsar names an act English has no verb for. An official holds your photocopy against the original, checks that the two agree, and stamps the copy to say so; from then on la copia compulsada can be handed in wherever the original would have been. English says « certified copy » and leaves the doing unnamed. It matters practically: a counter that asks for copia compulsada will not take a plain photocopy, however good.
