Phrases for a conversation
I see, of course, I am not sure, what do you mean, I think so — the replies that keep a conversation going.
A Korean listener answers all the time: 그렇군요, 그렇죠, 정말요? show that you are following, and silence can sound like disagreement. A direct “no” is often avoided — 글쎄요, “well…”, or a sentence left unfinished, 그건 좀…, does the job more politely. Learn these as whole phrases; most of them are said exactly as they stand.
