Personality
Lively or shy, diligent or lazy, frank, meticulous, stubborn, easy-going.
Korean often describes character with a short sentence about a part of the person: 성격이 급하다, “the temper is hasty”, is impatient; 마음이 넓다, “the heart is wide”, is generous. Words ending in -적이다, such as 내성적이다, are Sino-Korean and a little more formal. One trait is prized above many: 눈치, the sense for what others feel but do not say.
