More counters
Pairs, bunches, bowls, portions, months and laps: counting things the Korean way.
Korean counts almost everything with a counter after the number, the way English says “two pairs of” or “three slices of”, but far more often. The order is noun, number, counter: 장미 열 송이, literally “rose ten stems”. Most counters take the native numbers, in their short forms 한, 두, 세, 네; the ones borrowed from Chinese mostly take Sino-Korean numbers — 삼 인분, 육 개월 — and the note under each says which.
