Illnesses are something you “have” with को … है or that “happen” to you with होना: मुझे बुख़ार है, उसे ज़ुकाम हो गया. A cough “comes”, खाँसी आती है, and an injury “strikes”, चोट लगी. Medicine is “eaten” or “taken”: दवा खाना, दवा लेना. How you feel is your तबीयत: आज तबीयत ठीक नहीं है.
