La entrada en pérdida is the stall, and the Spanish says what happens: the wing <b>enters into loss</b>, because the air will no longer follow the curve and the lift goes. English calls it a stall, which is a stopping word and belongs to half a dozen other things: an engine stalls, a car stalls at the lights, a trader has a stall in the market, and somebody who will not answer is stalling. Only in an aeroplane does the word mean that the wing has stopped working while the engine is running perfectly.
