A common trap

Wrong Juan, cerrar la puerta.

Right Juan, cierra la puerta.

The infinitive gets used as a command to a particular person: Cerrar la puerta said to somebody. On a sign that is right; in conversation it sounds like a notice. To a person you say Cierra la puerta or ¿Cierras la puerta?
