A receita na farmácia

Two boxes, two times of day and a child next to the till.

A text about an instruction you must have understood correctly. Watch só se a febre passar — after se this is the future subjunctive, the form in which every Portuguese condition about the future is expressed.

A farmácia da esquina abre às oito. Rita chega com a receita do médico e com a filha pequena pela mão. Não há ninguém à espera.

O farmacêutico lê a receita e vai buscar duas caixas. Uma é para a tosse, a outra para a febre. Explica que a primeira é de manhã e à noite, e a segunda só se a febre passar dos trinta e oito.

Rita pergunta se pode dar as duas ao mesmo tempo. O farmacêutico diz que sim, mas com uma hora de diferença. Escreve isso na caixa com uma caneta.

Depois Rita pergunta pelo preço. Uma das caixas é mais cara do que a outra. São catorze euros ao todo. Rita paga com o cartão.

À saída a filha quer um doce que está ao lado da caixa. Rita diz que não. O farmacêutico ri e diz que ali é o sítio mais perigoso da loja.
