More about this list

Travelling you mostly hear places and means of transport. The means of transport goes into the instrumental, with no word for “by”: lecę samolotem, płyniemy promem. A platform, a station or a stop take na: na peronie, na stacji. “Abroad” is two forms: going abroad is za granicę (accusative), being abroad za granicą (instrumental) — one preposition, two cases, for “where to” and “where”.
