A common trap

Wrong Codziennie idę do pracy pieszo.

Right Codziennie chodzę do pracy pieszo.

English says “I go” for every day and “I am going” for today, and sometimes mixes the two. Polish keeps them apart strictly: what repeats is chodzić. With codziennie in the sentence, idę does not fit.

Going now or again and again: iść and chodzić
