Ravi’s Morning
An ordinary school morning, from getting up to the bus.
The easiest text in this series. Almost every sentence is in the present habitual — the verb stem with -ता, -ती or -ते and a form of है at the end. Watch how the verb ending changes with the person who does something.
रवि एक लड़का है। वह हर दिन सुबह छह बजे उठता है। फिर वह हाथ और मुँह धोता है।
सात बजे वह नाश्ता करता है। उसकी माँ रोटी बनाती हैं। रवि दूध पीता है।
नाश्ते के बाद रवि घर से जाता है। वह बस से स्कूल जाता है। बस अड्डा घर के पास है।
आज बस में बहुत भीड़ है। रवि को बैठने की जगह नहीं मिलती। वह खड़ा रहता है।
आठ बजे वह स्कूल पहुँचता है। उसके दोस्त वहाँ हैं। आज का दिन अच्छा है।
