Learning to Cook
Living alone for the first time, and a dish that goes wrong twice.
Trying and result: shì yí shì, the result complements hǎo and cuò, and bǎ for doing something to an object (bǎ cài xǐ gānjìng). Kitchen words from the vocabulary lists come back in a story.
上大学以后,我第一次一个人住。为了省钱,我决定自己学做饭。
我先试了试最简单的西红柿炒鸡蛋。可是第一次盐放得太多了,菜咸得不能吃。
第二次我少放了一点儿盐,可是鸡蛋炒得太久,又不好吃了。
我只好给妈妈打电话。妈妈笑着说:“你先把鸡蛋炒好,拿出来,再炒西红柿,最后放在一起。”
第三次终于成功了。我请了两个同学来吃饭,他们都说很好吃。现在我每个星期都做两三次饭。
