Buying Fruit
A short conversation at a fruit shop, with prices and change.
Prices and measure words. Chinese puts a measure word between a number and a noun (yí ge píngguǒ), asks for a price with zěnme mài or duōshao qián, and uses kuài for the yuan in speech.
今天是星期六。李华去水果店买水果。
水果店里有很多水果。李华问阿姨:“苹果怎么卖?”
阿姨说:“苹果三块钱一个。香蕉两块钱一个。”
李华说:“我要两个苹果,一个香蕉。”阿姨说:“八块。”
李华给阿姨十块钱。阿姨找钱,给她两块。李华说:“谢谢!再见!”
