Jealousy is plural in Spanish. Los celos is the feeling, always in the plural — los celos estropean cualquier relación, tiene celos de su hermano — while the singular el celo means something else altogether: zeal, the diligence of somebody doing a job carefully, and in animals the season of mating. So the number is not a detail here: trabaja con celo praises somebody, and trabaja con celos says the office is a difficult place.
