The news and the press
How a story is found, reported, broadcast and argued over.
The people in the news business are named by what they do with the news: 시청자 watch it, 청취자 listen to it, 독자 read it, and a 목격자 saw it happen. 기사 is a newspaper article, and 보도하다 the formal verb for reporting it; in everyday talk people simply say a story 나왔어요 — “came out”. A job interview is 면접; 인터뷰 is the kind given to a journalist.
