In the company

Posts and departments, joining and leaving, and the shape of a career.

Job titles follow the surname, and colleagues use them to address their superiors: 王(Wáng)经理(jīnglǐ), Manager Wang, where English would use a first name. Learn a title together with the way it is used. 副(fù) before a title makes a deputy — 副(fù)主任(zhǔrèn), deputy head — and pairs such as 入职(rùzhí) and 离职(lízhí), joining and leaving, show how much the second character carries.
