The first entry is a carga aerodinâmica, and what separates the two names is a rule of English rather than a choice of vocabulary. English says « downforce », one noun made by welding a direction onto another word, and it builds such nouns freely: « downtime » is the stretch in which a machine stands idle, « a downturn » is an economy going the wrong way, « a downdraught » is air coming back down a chimney, and the same joint upwards and outwards gives « upkeep », « output », « the outlay » and « an overrun ». Two things hold the pattern together. The stress falls on the first element, DOWNforce and OUTput, and that is exactly what tells a listener a noun is coming rather than a verb with a particle behind it. And the direction does the work of a whole phrase. Portuguese has no such joint and has to unfold the phrase: a carga aerodinâmica, o tempo de paragem, a quebra da economia. So expect one word here where this list gives three, and do not try to build the compound the other way round.
