Self-esteem, memory, motivation and the words for how the mind works.
Many words for the mind end in one of three syllables. 감 is a sense of something (자신감, 죄책감, 소속감), 력 a power or faculty (기억력, 집중력, 상상력), and 심 the heart or mind (호기심, 욕심, 자존심). After a consonant, 력 is usually said [녁]: 기억력 sounds like [기엉녁]. These words name a feeling from the outside, so they suit a description better than a cry from the heart.
