Morning at the Station
A weekday morning, from the alarm clock to the train.
The easiest text in this series. Every sentence ends in the polite form -masu or desu, and most of them say one thing. Watch the particles: ni for a time and a destination, de for the place where something happens.
田中さんは会社員です。毎朝六時に起きます。顔を洗って、朝ご飯を食べます。朝ご飯はいつもパンと卵です。
七時に家を出ます。駅まで歩いて五分です。今日は天気がいいです。空は青くて、風が少し冷たいです。
駅はとても大きいです。人がたくさんいます。田中さんは切符を買いません。カードを使います。
電車は七時半に来ます。今日の電車は少し遅いです。田中さんは駅の店でコーヒーを買って、待ちます。
八時に会社の近くの駅で電車を降ります。会社の人に「おはようございます」と言います。仕事は九時からです。
