Practise this list

From these 33 words, as many per round as you like — up to all of them: first what is due today, then new ones. First you choose, then you fill the gap, then you write it yourself. Mistakes come back again shortly.

More about this list

Packaging carries two dates: ten minste houdbaar tot (“best before”) and te gebruiken tot (“use by”). After the second one you should not eat it any more. Many vegetable names are close to English, but others are not: de wortel (the carrot), de bloemkool (the cauliflower, literally “flower cabbage”), de prei (the leek). Groente in the singular is already the whole category; several kinds are groenten or groentes.
